AUGUSTA, MAINE - JANUARY 2024

The Maine Principals' Association (MPA) and the Maine Army National Guard are proud to announce a new program that allows school administrators, families and fans to recognize student-athletes at their schools.

The MPA's new Scholar-Athlete program, presented by the Maine Army National Guard, is an initiative that recognizes outstanding individuals at Maine high schools for their academic and athletic achievements.

Nominations may be sumbitted by clicking here.

Nominations are accepted now through the conclusion of Spring Sports in mid-June.   In the form, nominators are asked to indicate that the dedicated student-athletes not only participated in many athletic activitites offered at their high school, but they also excelled in the classroom and touted a GPA of 3.0 or better.

All nominees will receive a certificate of recognition, and lucky nominees -- selected by random draw -- will receive a $10 gift card from Aroma Joe's.

Keep up the great work in the classroom and on the playing fields this Spring. Leaders in your community, school, and family are noticing your dedication, and you are inspiring the next generation of student-athletes.
