AUGUSTA — The Maine Principals’ Association (MPA), the state’s governing body for high school athletics, and Ware-Butler Building Supply, one of Maine’s leading providers of building supplies and lumber, have announced a partnership that provides the family-owned operation the opportunity to be the presenting partner of the storied MPA Maine State Basketball Tournament, including the Regional Championships and State Championships.

Every year, more than 200 of Maine’s nearly 300 high school boys’ and girls’ basketball teams from five classifications qualify for the tournament, and more than 90,000 fans flock to see their favorite teams compete for their classifications respective “gold ball” trophy.
